Lyriothemis keralensis Chandran, Sawant, Mathews & Kunte, 2026 - Slender Bombardier

Taxonomic Information

This species was earlier reported from the Western Ghats as Lyriothemis acigastra - Dwarf Bombardier. However, the Western Ghats populations were recently described as a new species, Lyriothemis keralensis - Slender Bombardier. The formatted images of L. keralensis still appear on this website under the name of L. acigastra, which will be corrected in due course as the website is updated.
