This species is also known as the Stream Glory in India. The name now used here, Green Metalwing, is used more widely across Asia, so we are adopting that name to maintain uniformity.

This common species has been recorded so far from Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Eastern Himalaya & NE India, Goa, Jammu & Kashmir UT, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Western Ghats, and Western Himalaya within the Indian limits.
This is a common species.
